We’ve got our hands on a couple of short videos which give us a look at behind the scenes in The Walking Dead 3×11 “I Ain’t a Judas.” Have a look!

The Walking Dead features awesome walker kills, as well as some great acting from the stars of the show. In 3×11 “I Ain’t a Judas” the focus is very much on Andrea and her reuniting with Rick and her original group. In these couple of the videos below, we look at the making of a scene in 3×11, and the work which goes into making The Walking Dead as believable as possible; as well as get to grips with how the characters deal with the concept of loyalty in a post-apocalypic world.

The Making Of 3×11

In the video, director Greg Nicotero and Laurie Holden (Andrea) show some behind the scene footage of Andrea’s “Guardian Angel” walker in 3×11.

As we can see, the effort to make everything as real as possible in The Walking Dead is painstaking. The special effects and CGI combination, mixed with some brilliant different camera shots and brilliant make-upwere certainly successfully in convincing us, and even Holden seemed worried that she might accidentally take the real axe to a co-actor!

Inside 3×11

In this short video, Holden and some of her other co-stars discuss Andrea’s return to the group at the prison, and how much the character’s loyalties have changed throughout The Walking Dead.

Robert Kirkman, creator of The Walking Dead introduces the footage; and says that 3×11 is all about “circling the wagons” and figuring out what the group’s next move is against The Governor and Woodbury. Whilst Rick must get his head sorted, and the group try and rally together to fight, it’s all up in arms once Andrea re-enters the fold.

The big question is, who is the Judas the group needs to be watching out for? Is it Andrea, whom feels guilty and ashamed for not knowing what The Governor has been up to, but who can’t quite pluck up the courage to kill him whilst he sleeps? Or is it Merle, who may stand by his brother with Rick’s group in the Woodbury attacks, or seek redemption with The Governor?

The next episode of The Walking Dead 3×12 “Clear” airs on Sunday, 9/8c on AMC.
